A young girl named Fredi is determined to learn how to be a successful racecar driver in the new children’s book, “Fredi’s Ride,” by Geri Johnson. Fredi knows many professional drivers hone their skills using Go-Karts. So she begins using her homemade version and its unaltered, five Horsepower engine. She soon learns the hard lessons that sometimes life is not fair and you just have to do your best with what you have. Follow Fredi as she makes it to the regional race, where the lucky winner will have a starting point to a successful racing career. Geri Johnson developed the idea for this children’s book by watching her husband race on their local dirt track for ten years. This book evolved out of all the excitement, disappointment, hopes and dreams they encountered. Johnson resides in Westfield, MA with her husband, Tim, and their dogs. “Fredi’s Ride” (ISBN: 978-1-60264-918-7) is available in softcover from Virtualbookworm.com, Amazon.com, Barnesandnoble.com and numerous other online sites. The book can also be purchased in eBook format (ISBN: 978-1-60264-919-4).
