Heiress Tia Heath escapes the rat race of L.A. to recover from the murder of her father's partner, Andrew Carson. Even though her father has been cleared of the crime, the tabloids continue to harass her and she hides among the beautiful serene forests of Southern Alaska. Unbeknownst to her, she is being stalked by two men; both convinced she knows more about the murder than she lets on. Desperate and alone in the wilderness during a blizzard, her house invaded by killers, and someone trying to silence her forever, she turns to her surly neighbor, nature photographer Jon Simons, for help. Unbeknownst to her, Jon has his own agenda and secretly blames Tia for his sister's death. To further complicate matters, her ex-fiance Paul Dale shows up just as the shooting starts. Now, alone in the wilds with only her pet wolf to help her, Tia races against time, ruthless assassins, and the elements to clear her name and prove to the man she loves that she is innocent of any wrongdoing!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Loren Lockner has been writing romantic intrigues and mysteries for years, becoming addicted to the genre at an early age after receiving The Complete Sherlock Holmes as a birthday present. Born and raised in Southern California and educated at the University of California, Riverside, her love of adventure sent her on a road trip to Alaska where she fell in love with the state and became determined to include its fascinating plant and animal life in a mystery romance. Currently working on another mystery novel based in Santa Barbara, she also enjoys traveling, playing tennis, cooking, maintaining salt-water aquariums, and watching BBC versions of classic novels. She is married and has two teenaged children.
