ABOUT THE AUTHOR Allen R. Schreiber has worked on a farm in West Texas and as a steel fabricator and shop foreman. He also served as a supervisor of a manufacturing plant that made winches and davits for sea-going vessels. Schreiber as written many short stories and greatly enjoys writing. He has always wanted to write a book. He retired at the age of sixty-two and built a home for him and his wife on the four acres of land that he owned in Austin County. He likes to work with wood, making small bird houses and model houses. He also enjoys gardening, thus his flower beds keep him busy.
