ABOUT THE AUTHOR Bruce Golden decided to be a teller of tales at age 18, but was waylaid by a journalism career that spanned more than 20 years. As a freelance writer he's published more than 200 features articles and columns. He created a half dozen magazines as an editor and art director. In radio he wrote and produced hundreds of features stories, documentaries, and Radio Free Comedy, an all original comedy hour. Then, before shunning life in the media, he worked for several years as a television news producer. He has a degree in creative writing from San Diego State University, where he and noted author Greg Bear were inspired by the same professor, and where he sparred opposite J. Michael Straczynski in writing workshops. Now, after re-devoting himself to his first love, fiction, he has published several science fiction and fantasy short stories.
