On August 17th, 1956, a 20-year-old airman in the US Air Force watched a young woman move toward his car and fell hopelessly in love. A few weeks later he found out she was 14 years old. This is a story that begins on that first day. It is a story of much humor and a little drama, but mostly it is a story of a love that all logic and common sense said should not have been. But despite the obstacles that were thrown in their path, the couple entered into a marriage 11 months later that lasted for almost 50 years. There is no suspense or high drama here, only a deep and abiding love that was somehow meant to be. This is about a love that would last until the lovely girl was called away and the young airman was left alone waiting for the time to hold her once again. This is our story of those 11 months that continues even now with the promise made so long ago, Forever and Always Yours.
