ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Tania Wang is a Los Angeles-based multi-talented content provider. She was born and raised in Taiwan and has a background in cultural anthropology. She moved to Los Angeles in 1994 as an aspiring actress. She soon discovered that there was virtually no market for Asian actors.
Undaunted, she spent the next couple of years composing music for documentaries while studying film and music at UCLA. In 1996, she began making a living as a sound editor/designer. This led to an Emmy nomination in 2000. From that point on, she started exploring her other artistic goals: film making and writing. As a result of her experiences, she has honed her observational skills to a razor-sharp edge. The result is a unique outlook that tempers seriousness with a touch of humor.
These skills led Tania to the realization that more and more, Asians are assimilating into mainstream American communities. Drawing on her own personal experiences, and those of her friends and acquaintances, Tania felt an obligation to put this information into a book, which addresses the subject of Asians dating Americans. It is her hope that through this book, "Dating Asians," she will enlighten many uninformed Asian-seekers with her insightful, entertaining and invaluable observations into Asian attitudes and expectations.
