Her publications include "Lucky," which appeared in The Gaited Horse and was selected as the winner of the Annual Merial Human-Animal Bond Award in 2002; and The Swamp, an outsider's Alumni Magazine in 2004. She and her husband live at Oak Hammock, a retirement community at the University of Florida in Gainesville, where they enjoy their blended family, their dogs, and above all, each other.
