Are you concerned with illegal drug use in our country? You should be. Whether or not you use illegal drugs, you are affected by this problem. Drug addiction is an indiscriminate offender, not bound by class or color, race or age, intelligence or social standing. Our present efforts to control drug addiction are ineffectual and the laws governing illegal drugs unjust. In spite of having the world's largest prison population, our problem continues to grow. Take a look at me; I am your enemy-a man who once dedicated his life to providing marijuana for thousands. To overcome your enemy, you must first understand him. You may discover I closely resemble you and yours. If you are serious about doing something about drug addiction, either on a personal or a national level, your sworn enemy may hold the key to your success.
I am here to tell you-the war on drug addiction can be won-one person at a time.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Don Henry Ford, Jr. is a former marijuana addict and convicted smuggler. During his time in prison he successfully broke his addiction to this drug and others. He has continued to live a sober life and wishes to help others desiring the same with observations he made on his personal journey. Not only is Don a former addict, but also the father of seven children, most who at least experimented with drugs-and survived. He knows countless others battling addiction and feels current treatment options leave something to be desired.
While locked up, he had plenty of time to consider the way we as a society combat the illegal drug trade and has come up with a better plan-one that has a chance of working.
Currently he and his wife reside in South Central Texas, breeding, raising, and training thoroughbred horses.
