In the prose of Arthur Elmo's Formative years, Southern dialect serves to validate the events and the culture of that era. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Arthur Elmo Jackson is a retired university professor. He was born and spent his formative years in the South. He was subject to the sexual mores, customs, and inhibitions of the mid-twentieth century. He played football and baseball in college and is a US Marine Corps Veteran.
