ABOUT THE AUTHOR Daniel R. Seagren, a retired clergyman/educator/author/chaplain, never intended to seek the pastoral ministry. A stint in the US Navy catapulted him into academic pursuits. To make ends meet, he served congregations in Baptist, Covenant and Methodist churches while attending Bethel and North Park seminaries. With a MA (USC), he merged into the faculties of two colleges for several years. He also served international congregations in Stockholm, Sweden and Mexico City. His final charge brought him to Santa Barbara, CA where he served as Chaplain at The Samarkand (a Covenant retirement community).
