After 17 years of investigating murders, industrial deaths, natural deaths, suicides, and undetermined deaths, I thought I had seen and dealt with just about every situation imaginable. One such death scene has been implanted within me forever.

While investigating an apparent suicide scene, I contracted strange ideas and thoughts. Dueling within my consciousness, I fought the idea that a strange voice was entering my head. It was as though I was thinking, yet they were not my thoughts. Continuing to receive these thoughts for days, I soon came to realize it was the same voice I had heard on a tape player in the suicide victim's house. It was the voice of the victim. Was it a ghost, a spirit, or what? Was I going insane?

I was much too practical and level headed to start believing I was being contacted by a deceased victim from one of my crime scenes. I had always considered people who heard voices as mentally disturbed. Am I joining them?

As time passes, Frank rejoins me, adding suggestions as I investigate some of my most serious cases. Time comes when Frank is not only a voice in my thoughts, but begins to become semi visible. Is this really happening to me? Are there spirits or ghosts? What will happen next?

Permanent sorrow for the innocent victims will remain with me until the day I die, but I still have a job to do when I arrive back home.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Born in 1950, I grew up in a Southern suburb of Chicago. After graduating from High School, I joined the Military and stayed there until 1973. After being honorably discharged in Norfolk, Virginia, I went to work for a printing company. After working there for about a year and a half, I decided to apply for an advertised job with a local Police Department and retired there after 30 years.

It didn't take long before I got bored with retirement. To keep myself occupied, I took another job. After attending a nationally recognized spa and pool school, I worked as a service technician for a local pool company until I was accidentally struck on the head and had to undergo emergency brain surgery. During the operation, I suffered 4 strokes and a 3 week coma. Awakening from the coma, I found the right side of my body was paralyzed. Working hard at home for some time, I have regained my right side mobility, but have been left with a permanent cane assisted limp.

I had the idea for this book while still working as a Forensic Investigator, adding to it a little at a time for about a year and a half later until it was finally completed. Although considered a crime/fiction book, the stories and cases are based on true accounts of my time in New York during 9-11 and the crime scenes I have investigated. I'll leave Frank and his intervention up to you, the reader.
