ABOUT THE AUTHOR
A California native, Obie C. Porteous graduated at the top of his class from the University of Chicago in 2003 with degrees in International Studies and Biological Sciences. He has since worked at the World Bank in Washington DC, as a freelance journalist in the US South and West Africa, and as a consultant and program manager for Action Against Hunger. Porteous has traveled to over 50 countries and speaks 6 languages. His shorter works have been published by FORTUNE Magazine, UNICEF, and Field Exchange. This is his first book.
