Everything has changed, except the way we think. This famous phrase, or at least something like this, was attributed to Einstein. This situation seems to happen not only in the so-called advanced physics or technological progress, but also in our daily experience with economics theorizing.

Without attempting to speak too generally, there are various eminent economists who have recognized the necessity to revisit economics thinking from the cornerstone. Though obviously this e-book wasn't intended to disregard all economics theorizing achievements, it offers a new approach to mankind's eternal journey toward global prosperity and equality without sacrificing sustainability and peacekeeping.

Instead of using the exhaustive philosophical approach most economists attempt while drawing conclusions, this e-book started by recognizing the linearized way we think about mathematics and nature. This happens naturally, and also influences our thinking about economics behaviours.

Starting from such a fundamental mathematical approach, its implications to economics thinking were explored subsequently. Based on recent theoretical as well as empirical findings in advanced physics and biology, particularly the emergence of fractal theory, this e-book discusses the alternative path we could choose while seeking ways to solve today's world economics problems.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Currently working as webmaster at www.eazt.com, V. Christianto has always thought the current economics thinking should be revisited in some way or another. His favourite tools are (what else) the open source solutions like PHP and MySQL, though he also could not neglect the significance of proprietary solutions in the market. Though devoted to issues of economics as a whole, particularly meta-economics, this e-book has been induced somehow from rethinking the successful role of those open-source products as an alternative method for production -- particularly in the market dominated by prosumerism instead of consumerism. He believes our ordinary life has been much influenced by industrialisation, while the entire society and mankind are going somewhere else: there must have been a new way of life introduced.

While studying engineering in college, the author was studying economics as alternative "sport" activity rather than pursuing a degree of it. Christianto would argue that most profound econometrics thoughts were developed by people from other disciplines who treated economics study as a hobby, such as Von Neumann, the famous mathematician who built the foundation of quantum mechanics as well as the first computers. Particularly the author was intrigued by the question of predictability difficulties in econometrics: how impossible is the impossible? Pertaining this issue, he has experimented himself to the bottom line (without any success), making some efforts in writing software about this (not yet completed, otherwise he wouldn't have written this book). Therefore, if you read this book for getting new tricks in option trading, for instance, you've picked the wrong book. But if you would like to know how to perceive the world economics as merely a big game played by everyone (including yourself), then you will enjoy this book.
