After the success of “Akabish’s First Christmas,” Mr. Bradford felt compelled to finish the saga and write “Akabish’s Long Journey.” His gift to his family and all of you would not be complete without it. Like his first book, this one was written in less than three hours. “Once I started writing, I couldn’t stop. The words just flowed out of me and onto the page. This is Saydee Lanes’ second book for Mr. Bradford . Her art work, in collaboration with another talented illustrator, has brought the pages to life with vivd colors and the warm expressions of all of her characters. She has expanded her career into other artistic endeavors. Saydee has been selected to participate in a national ad campaign. She also has some of her art work in the world famous Heard Museum. After graduation, she plans to attend one of the nation’s top art schools to study animation.
