Poems are like luminous flowers in the moon lit leas of human imagination. When entering the garden of these two poets, the reader will strike the rich storehouse of a life-long experience.

It is not the usual line-up of topics that makes this anthology a challenging read. The way the authors approach emotions and frames of mind is unique. Heide Lorek's In that Garden and Mark Tiwo's I Am Your Road tackle untapped facets of well-known images.

Lorek's garden - In that Garden - represents the untouched beauty of nature where she can nurture her creativity at ease, but she cannot help leaving this refuge only to live the rough reality of life again. It is a typical feature of her work to catch the reader at the important moments of his own life, his daily anxiety and loneliness.

Tiwo's I Am Your Road turns the road into a powerful agent accompanying man throughout his life: "It's your very first steps / And your last ones / That I do feel." Every now and then Tiwo likes risking a glimpse into the dangerous nooks and crannies of a battered soul. He would not even hesitate to cross the borderline leading to the world beyond.

ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Heide Lorek
Lorek is a songwriter, singer and poetess. She has been publishing her poems in the UK as well as in Germany for well over a decade now. One of the most outstanding projects she has embarked on so far is an audio version of her poetry: Sometimes - Poetry in Music. Some of the tracks will soon be available for download at www.javamusic.com, where you can take a listen to a couple of her catchy pop songs as well. As an author, Lorek is at her best when she resorts to her spell binding imagery: "She's dancing like a demon / through the tropical night - / Her pale face touched / By the wind of oblivion."

Mark Tiwo
Tiwo
makes use of very different elements to fully realize his ideas. Words, sounds and paints are the building materials that help shape his dreams into reality. For Tiwo, poetic vision is more or less the verbal equivalent of his pictures and sculptures that are showcased on his own site:www.pixnhits.com.The writer Tiwo does not quite tally with the musician or painter / sculptor. Whereas his music is a harmonious flow of esthetic soundscapes, his poems and pictures touch on senstive questions which very often seem to be tucked away in the collective limbo of our society. At www.javamusic.com you can give his dance / pop songs a listen.
